Chris Lawton
Client Relationship Executive and CFO
About Chris
I have spent 30+ years in the consulting business serving financial institutions, professional services firms and technology organizations. I am proud of my demonstrated history of educating professionals about specialized industries and building their business and financial acumen so that they can improve their performance, strategic thinking and leadership skills.
I have had the pleasure of partnering with wonderful clients at the top companies globally. PSI has been able to maintain these relationships for years, proving that we are making a difference.
My Work
At PSI, I serve as a Client Relationship Executive and enjoy teaching our simulations and training programs. Internally, I am the Chief Financial Officer. I am so fortunate that in our 20 years at PSI, we have given 5% of our profits every single year to charitable causes.
My clients primarily include large financial institutions (banking, insurance and investments), professional services firms and tech companies. I have a deep understanding of the professionals in these organizations and enjoy developing their knowledge and skills. I work with our clients to identify their needs and offer myriad solutions to meet their objectives, including training solutions (i.e., eLearning, workshops, virtual training), and performance support (i.e., Info Bases, wikis, conversation starters) and more.
I love to teach in-person or virtually. I specialize in improving learners’ knowledge of complex business, industry and financial services topics and take pride in making those issues easy to understand so they can apply what they learn to their job.
When I’m Not Working…
“I enjoy playing golf, being outdoors, rooting for my Seton Hall Pirates and treasure spending time with my family.”
My Background
Before co-founding PSI, I was a Principal at a consulting firm (later acquired by IBM), where I developed its successful Financial Services and Professional Services practices.
Prior to that, I worked with Coopers and Lybrand (now PwC), two years as a manager in their National Office and four years as a manager on the audit staff specializing in financial services. I wrote and contributed to several international publications for Coopers & Lybrand.
I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and graduate of Seton Hall University. I am a member of the American Society of Training and Development, American Institute of CPAs, N.J. Society of CPAs, Seton Hall Alumni Association and life member of the Cedar Grove Rescue Squad.
